Laurel – Shells
‘“Shells” was originally an acoustic song, written by Laurel when she was 17 and going through a breakup. The song’s style however has been dramatically altered, after her mother suggested putting the song over her friend Shadow Child’s track. It’s a brilliant pairing; the song starts off slow and woeful, but it’s soon transformed by the complimenting electronics into a subtly kicking jam.’ – Pigeons and Planes
