The Hyve Presents, 14th NOVEMBER, CAMDEN ASSEMBLY

The Hyve Presents in association with Killing Moon Live

High Tyde

‘Destined for huge stages’ – DIY Magazine
‘The start of something really big’ – Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1
‘Still shockingly young, High Tyde have made great strides’ – Clash

After their recent UK headline tour which included a sold-out London show at Scala, it is safe to say High Tyde are a band making a huge mark on the UK scene. Their latest EP ‘Real’, comprising of new singles ‘Speak’, ‘Gold’ and ‘One Bullet’, is an amalgamation of their past work combined with a maturity and grasp on songwriting way beyond their young years.

Although the boys are still only in their teens, they have already four EP’s down and have toured with Peace, Little Comets and Eliza & The Bear to name a few. They also performed at festivals such as Boardmasters, Fieldview, Y Not & Dot 2 Dot and a slot on BBC Introducing’s stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals.

14th November sees the band play a very special show at The Hyve’s new residency at Camden Assembly.

Twin Wild

Having recently released title track ‘My Heart’ and follow up ‘Willow Tree’, Twin Wild dropped their debut EP ‘My Heart’ last month. Produced by Adam Noble (Nothing But Thieves, Placebo, Fatherson), the EP is the young band’s debut release since signing with the label and follows their self-released track ‘Fears’ which garnered over half a million plays on Soundcloud and charted in Spotify’s Top 20 viral chart.

Lead EP track ‘My Heart’ launched last month has over 150,000 plays on Spotify already and recently reached the #1 spot on Spotify Sweden’s Viral chart. Their London show at Boston Music Rooms was a sell out and praise for Twin Wild included The Line of Best Fit ‘Song of the Day’ who said “My Heart” is a stomping, hell-raising inferno fuelled by wiry guitar licks jutting out at odd angles, bluesy hooks, snarl-infested verses, slick stadium-ready vocals, and a Foals-y penchant for the unexpected.

Having previously received support from Radio 1 and the online tastemakers The 405, DIY mag and Wonderland magazine to name a few and toured with Nothing But Thieves, You Me At Six, We Are The Ocean and PVRIS, 2016 should see Twin Wild establish themselves as one of UK’s most promising new rock bands.

Twin Wild are: Richard Hutchison (vocals, guitars), Imran Mair (drums), David Cuzner (guitar) and Edward Thomas (bass).

Fish Tank

Fish Tank have since been honing their brand of angular guitar pop both in the studio and on tour in the UK, making a name for themselves on the UK underground scene with their recent EP ‘Jane’ and the earlier ‘Henry’. Fish Tank’s sound on record is as catchy as their performances are energetic.

Having picked up support from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and repeated support from BBC Introducing in Kent, new single ‘The Bend’ is as fun and as catchy as it is angsty and intense with Ed Wetenhalls lyrics and vocal delivery playfully touching on the uncertainty of youth and finding your way in the world – out on their own label on 21st Oct.

Lots more to come from Fish Tank … keep those ears peeled!!

Ultras

ULTRAS is a moniker for the music of multi-instrumentalist Gav Prentice recording with a variety of Scottish producers, each contributing beats and textures to complement his songwriting. ULTRAS is also a live band, with a line-up completed by Roy Mohan Shearer and Matthew Clark. ULTRAS combines a love of hip-hop production, pop, rock, electronica, and the Scottish folk tradition, to make music that is largely about violence.
