GOOD KARMA CLUB, 27TH APRIL, THE ISLINGTON

Good Karma Club is back this month with a stellar line up, including FREAK, Honey Lung, and Slowlights…

FREAK

FREAK is the pseudonym of Chelmsford’s Connor Ridd, whose grungy take on electronic pop has drawn comparisons to artists likes Slaves and fellow Chemfoldite Rat Boy.

With his brash, fuzzy take on indie pop, this is one act you don’t want to miss.

HONEY LUNG

Formed in late 2015, four-piece Honey Lung came on to the alternative rock scene in a storm.Influenced by the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr, and contemporaries such as Alex G and Yuck!, they bring together fuzzy, driving bass lines, thunderous drums, soaring guitars and melodic, introspective vocals into one brew of nostalgic 90’s-esque alternative rock with a modern twist.

SLOWLIGHTS

Slowlights are a four piece rock band based in London. Forming in March 2014 the band started writing together taking influence from bands such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and Coldplay.

Having recently supported Model Aeroplanes and played dates around the UK with Eliza And The Bear the band have just released a new single ‘I Try So Hard’.
