THE HYVE PRESENTS, 22ND DECEMBER, CAMDEN ASSEMBLY

The Hyve Presents in association with Killing Moon Live

Kawala

Jim and Daniel grew up partying together. Now singing together, they create songs with a strong narrative and a sweet purity runs through their acoustic sounds. Proudly representing their Camden roots, the North London twang is carried through their songs. Beauty is formed through their simplistic way of arranging a song, stripping back to basics of an instrumental and a vocal. The kind of raw vocals that warm your belly and make the hairs on your arms stand on end.

Alexis Kings

Alexis Kings are on their way up.  The St Albans five-piece have built their name on the London gig circuit with a slew of successful shows at venues like Nambucca, The Enterprise, and The Garage.  The band’s live CV also boasts a sold-out performance at Proud Camden for the launch of their Squire EP and a ram-packed slot at Barfly (now Camden Assembly) during Camden Rocks.  Their growing profile has come hand in hand with a shift in Alex Kings’ sound, as they craft singalong anthems that carefully balance youthful energy with sophisticated polish.

HAUS

HAUS are a 5 piece from North London with Indie Rock and Alternative influences. Ellis, Sam, Lyle, and Daniel attended a college together called The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance where they formed a band and began to play shows along with a range of different singers. After spending a little while rehearsing and writing as a four piece after being unable to settle with a vocalist, Ashley, whose old band had just split, decided to join in on synth and then later guitar and vocals thus forming the five piece you have come to know and love today.

Young Kato

Young Kato is a British six-piece indie pop band from Cheltenham, England. Formed in 2011, the band consists of Tommy Wright, Jack Edwards, Joe Green, Joe Lever, Harry Steele and Sam Henderson. The band started rehearsing, writing material and playing numerous gigs and smaller festival appearances around their local area  before releasing their debut four track self-titled EP via LAB Records in 2012 which reached number 31 in the iTunes albums chart on the day of release. Young Kato went on tour in 2013 across the UK to support the single “Something Real”, their first release with BMG. The band landed support from XFM, Absolute Radio and BBC Radio 1 with DJ Zane Lowe hailing the track as his “Next Hype”
