With over 200,000 streams on Spotify alone, it’s safe to say Andreww’s first releases have made an impact. The international runway model released ‘Talking To Myself’ and ‘Medusa’ in late 2020 and early 2021 respectively and has recently released his third single ‘Shadow Love’. Accompanied by an online video game designed by the singer, the grunge-influenced track has hit nearly 10,000 streams in under a week.

Talking about his release, Andreww says “’Shadow Love’ is basically about loving things that aren’t good for you. A love that lies over you like a shadow. The enjoyment of being reckless and wanting to not know better. It’s not even about a specific person or thing but more a mindset you go into the night with.” It’s a sentiment clearly echoed in the song’s instrumental: packed with chorus-drenched guitars and hip-hop beats, ‘Shadow Love’ sounds like the lovechild of 90s grunge and modern rap.

It’s a combination that could have been difficult to stomach, but Andreww pulls it off effortlessly. It’s important to stay positive at the moment, but Andreww’s music allows us to realise that everyone feels rough now and then, and we’re not alone in that.
