After releasing their stellar debut single ‘Body Talk’, Midlands based five piece SHE is back with a spectacular sophomore track ‘Howl’.  Between them, band members Rebecca & Robin Davies, Simon McCoy, Edd Duffell and Ricky Hill have a few years worth of experience, under various guises and pseudonyms, all of which has led them to this very place. Debut ‘Body Talk’ previously amassed support from Glamglare, Dork, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Stereoboard, It’s All Indie, and more.

Taking inspiration from the likes HAIM, Fickle Friends, and FoalsSHE have managed to craft their own unique brand of indie pop, ranging from cool and collected numbers to energetic toe tappers to lively, fist pounding bangers.

Second single ‘Howl’ is led by enthralling drums, compelling guitar riffs and lead singer Rebecca’s captivating vocals that characterize the sound of SHE.

Lead singer Rebecca explains where the inspiration for the track came from:

‘In literature, I’ve read about women who feel sorrow so powerful over the loss of a man that they howl in despair. A sensation so enormous that that they fear it before it even arrives. In my view, we should be far more concerned about upsetting our mothers. It’s their opinions that trouble me much more than any pain inflicted by an old flame. So when we wrote this track, I liked the idea that we would howl for our mothers. For they are really the ones that we should hide from our shameful lovers.’

This is only the beginning for SHE but they have put in the leg work and are ready for the race. With punchy guitars, swirling synths and haunting harmonies layered over 80s inspired drums; you need to keep your eyes and ears on SHE.
