West London three piece MÅNTRA have had a hell of a year. Since the release of their highly anticipateddebut EP ‘I Want’, the band’s live prowess has been demonstrated by a number of high profile tours and festival appearances, including The Great Escape, SXSW, Reading & Leeds Festival, and Download.

While the band have been busy finishing the album, lead singer Simon Stark has been recording new material, leading to the release of the ‘Sleep’ EP.

With a more stripped down synth-laden sound inspired by Simon’s solo show at the Great Escape and covers by fans of the band (loving called @mantramaniacs), the new EP takes Måntra’s music to dreamy new realms.

With an intriguing reworking of ‘I Want’ and synth heavy soundscapes with political samples, the band had this to say of their new release:

‘With everything that’s happened in world in the last year it’s hard to avoid a political inflection, but don’t worry we’ll be back to rocking very soon!
