VIØLETS ‘WHEN THE LIGHT GOES DOWN’
Olivia here. Due to a mixture of not feeling well and being generally grumpy, I’m feeling pretty sorry for myself today. It’s cloudy and miserable outside, and all I want to do is curl up with a hot water bottle and sleep the rest of the day away – or failing that, watch Supervet on repeat until it gets dark. Luckily, I’ve stumbled across a great track to cheer myself up and give me some much needed motivation to get my work done today. ‘When The Light Goes Down‘ is the debut track from modern alt-pop four piece VIØLETS. Hailing from London, the band have already secured a number of headline shows across the capital in their first year together. A sophisticated amalgamation of indie and dance inspired pop, the new single is crafted with moody synths, shuffling electronic beats, and reverberating guitar riffs, which, when combined with lead singer Pippa’s sultry vocal, makes for a compelling soundscape. Anthemic without losing that nonchalant indie style, this is the perfect track to get you through a difficult Friday. Enjoy.
