Annabel Allum releases new video for ‘Tricks’

Following the success of her single release, Annabel Allum has brought out a brand new video. Moody and atmospheric, ‘Tricks’ will leave a lasting impression.

With indie-folk ethereal vocals akin to Daughter, floating over crunchy distorted guitars that you’d expect to be played by the likes of PJ Harvey or Thurston Moore, ‘Tricks’ is the sound of an artist growing and firmly finding their feet within a genre.

Of the track Allum says:

Tricks is about survival both physically and mentally. Sometimes we as people are left out of things; it may feel rubbish at the time, but it brings an invaluable outsider perspective. This song was written kind of appreciating that… sometimes weakness brings great strength and you can only gain that through experience.”

Releasing her EP ‘Absent’ last year, Annabel has received national airplay (Radio X, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing), and online support from key tastemakers such as The Line of Best Fit & Gold Flake Paint. Playing shows across the UK, recent highlights include shows at KOKO, The Great Escape, and Birthday’s, and high profile support slots with Blaenavon, Big Deal and Best Friends, Annabel’s live credibility only increases.
