Premiere: ULTRAS reveal video for new single ‘Napoleon’

“With a fierce, industrial and edgy sound ULTRAS sound like the perfect blend of Young Legionnaire, Biffy Clyro and Royal Blood. ” – It’s All Indie

“An omni-powerful band ready to launch a full blown assault on listeners throughout the country.” – Amazing Radio

“Measured, indignant but ultimately invigorating…
A band that are crafting a rung on the ladder all on their own” – GoldFlakePaint

ULTRAS is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Gav Prentice, at one time a solo project and also a broader collective of Glasgow based musicians. Having released the debut single, Napoleon on 25th July via Killing Moon Records, the band return with a striking nature-themed video to follow.

With a fierce industrial groove that drives throughout, Napoleon delivers a powerful rock sound akin to early Biffy Clyro with the accent to match. “Violent pop for the patronised” is how Prentice describes the sound, with the theme of putting up a fight running throughout the song, it’s an apt sound for the new single.

After debuting the first home-produced track This Is Where I Fall online, ULTRAS were then featured on the list for Glastonbury Festivals Emerging Talent Competition, receiving airplay from BBC 6 Music, Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio and then daytime playlisted on XFM Scotland. The newly formed live band then toured the UK and festival circuit in the summer of 2015 and again in support of Admiral Fallow in October of that year.

Napoleon was released July 25th through Killing Moon Records and has picked up support from It’s All Indie, Amazing Radio & more.
