Release: Eye Emma Jedi Announce Debut UK Release Through Killing Moon Records

In what might be our very worst-kept secret to date, we’re happier than a banker with a bonus… than a punk in a pickle patch…nay, than a fat man in a chicken shop to announce that our new bestest buddies Eye Emma Jedi will be releasing their debut UK single through Killing Moon Records. Which is, like, us, wethinks. The single is called Sin which we’ve previously featured here on the mighty Killing Moon bloggington, and it shall be released on 6th August of this year. We first came across this collective display of power-pop righteousness when a solicitor buddy, well, solicited it to us. Shortly thereafter, our buddies at Amazing Radio played us a wee sample of the dudes’ fine work. We then saw a picture of the band depicting one member to have the most optulant afro we have ever had the fortune to clap our eyes on, and another to look awfully similar to Liverpool folkster Dan Croll. We just had to get involved. We can’t believe they let us.

Here’s the press-releasy bit:

London via Norway 5-piece Eye Emma Jedi are set to release their debut U.K release in the form of single Sin via London based boutique label Killing Moon Limited on 6th August 2012.

Eye Emma Jedi – Sin

After gracing the airwaves and festival stages in their native Norway, including their first three singles (Crucified, Lights & Brother) being play-listed on national radio for a combined total of 50 weeks – half of which came before their first ever live show. The now-London based Norwegian outfit are setting their sights further afield starting with their debut U.K release in the form of single Sin and appearances at this year’s NASS and Boardmasters festivals.

Produced and recorded by themselves, Sin perfectly encapsulates Eye Emma Jedi’s indie-pop sound; a sound that specialises in folding shimmering pop melodies with cutting, intricate indie-rock guitar lines that form powerful anthems. Their energy smites you with its wide musical spectre that varies from danceable, progressive indie rock to the most alluring elements of j-pop and post-hardcore.

Sin will be available as a digital download on 6th August through Killing Moon Limited along with b-side Crucified.
