Camp Bestival 2010

Camp Bestival has managed to get a bit bigger in its third year of existence, and shows little sign of slowing down in terms of the sheer amount of events occurring over the weekend of 30th July – 1st August.

Having trekked it down to Lulworth Castle waaaaaaaay back in 2008, the festival has one of the most chilled out vibes around by just making things as pleasant as possible for it’s visitors. This years line up looks like the biggest yet, with the mega-star likes of Calvin Harris, The Human League, Madness and Chipmunk moving and shaking it with relative nubes Hurts, Summer Camp and Lissie (and many, many more bands). Yes, Billy Bragg and The Cuban Brothers will be there too. They’ve also got more DJs on the bill than you’ve probably had hot dinners. To add even more to this, they’ve got a Pamper Lounge (they do facials), Videopia (they do movies, starring the punters at the festival), the Punk Science Team (they do museum-based adult science comedy, or so the press release says), as well as all the usual hidden gems of child-like excitement you’d usually expect from the Sunday Best crew.

We’ll be sending down a little reporter team to this year’s festival, and will report back with all the latest on what’s hot, and what’s not.
