TOTD: Leeds based band MUSH release video to new single ‘Litvinenko’
Our latest TOTD comes from Leeds based act Mush with their new release ‘Litvinenko’, out now via Memphis Industries.
The energetic 4-piece, who specialise in wryly-observational, exquisite lo-fi guitar pop, recently revealed details of their debut EP Induction Party (set for release on the 31st May).
Recorded at Glasgow’s thriving Green Door Studio with Ronan Fay (also guitarist of ascendant Scottish rockers Sweaty Palms), the EP’s six tracks follow the proud lineage of art-rock from both sides of the pond. Mush cite Pavement, Sonic Youth, Television and The Fall as their primary influences.
The band have also announced a string of live dates in support of their upcoming EP release, which includes a stint at Sebright Arms’ Dark Party all dayer this bank holiday Sunday (5th May), before their appearance at The Great Escape next Saturday (11th May):
05 May – Sebright Arms, London (Dark Party all dayer)
11 May – Great Escape, Brighton
31 May – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
22 Jun – Rough Trade East, London (1pm instore show)
11 Aug – Boardmasters Festival, Newquay
06 Sep – Misty Fields, Netherlands
12 Oct – Twisterella Festival, Middlesbrough
