TOTD: Alt-indie quartet Sad Palace release new single ‘Doom Jacuzzi’
Hampshire based indie-rock band Sad Palace have released their new single ‘Doom Jacuzzi’, the second offering from their upcoming EP release ‘Longbaby’ which is due on the 3rd of May.
Speaking about the new release, out today, frontman Louis explains “the lyrics were born from the frustration of failing to communicate with people, of being overloaded with information, and a feeling that you can’t keep up with the sheer amount of things happening around you.”
Always aiming for the best of both worlds, the Gosport-based four-piece – comprised of Louis Pinder (vocals, guitar & keys), Dan Kirk (guitar, keys & trumpet), Matthew Cooke (drums), and Owen Ballantyne (bass guitar) – combines eccentric pop grooves, imposing riffs and whatever else they can get their hands on to produce complex, psych-laced pop songs, with a laid back and all-around rock attitude.
Sad Palace are set to perform at St John’s C of E Church, Gosport on the 3rd of May in celebration of their EP release.
