TOTD: Welsh singer-songwriter Skip Curtis releases new single ‘Messed Up’

Our latest TOTD is the brooding, introspective new single ‘Messed Up’ from Welsh singer-songwriter Skip Curtis.

Curtis blends the angsty lyrical style of Elliot Smith with the lively guitar-led sound of alt-rock artists such as Blossoms, The Cure and fellow Welsh Valley outfit, The Manic Street Preachers with new offering ‘Messed Up’.  “It’s a kind of weird selfish love song” explains Skip, “about trying to go down in flames but apologising for it at the same time”.

Curtis has previously found success with the viral hit “Low Tide” with his band XY&O back in 2015. Whilst he continues to write songs and perform with the band, Skip has stripped away some of the more pop leaning elements within his solo project to produce something that’s raw and brutally honest.

Skip is set to announce a string of live dates which will take place later this year, keep your eyes peeled on Skip’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for announcements.
