DAZE – ‘Big’

Our new TOTD comes from London based four-piece DAZE with their latest offering ‘Big’, which dropped on Valentines day. Inspired by the classic Tom Hanks film of the same name, ‘Big’ was written about the difficulty of relationships and was recorded with Sugar House (Pale Waves, Viola Beach and Glass Caves).

Formed on the skate parks of North London, DAZE began when childhood friends and guitarists Sam Hong and Luke Mayer resolved to form a band that combined their love of the cavernous reverb of shoegaze, and the lo-fi punch of classic indie rock. DAZE quickly went about recruiting likeminded musicians, to complete their line-up and refine their sound, and soon found bassist Santino DeLauri at the bar of their local pub, shortly followed by drummer Oliver Brenner.

Over the past year DAZE have performed at a number of esteemed London venues including Camden Assembly, Dingwalls and Sebright Arms. We hope to hear further live announcements from the guys very soon.
