Indie synth-pop is the order of the day from singer/songwriter Bonze, whose new track ‘Sound of Happiness’ is bittersweet.

Reminiscent of 80s pop in the melody, the track is stripped back and features soft soothing vocals, driven by a pulsating synthetic beat and staggered guitar. The song feels like it could soundtrack the pinnacle moment in a teen romance flick. The bright instrumentation against despondent vocals creates a paradox, but there’s a glimmer of hope dashed throughout with the whimsical synths.
