Leeds five-piece FEHM have created a mammoth track with ‘Scarborough Warning’.

The track is a mix of post-punk and new wave but doesn’t feel like it fits conventional patterns and structures of these genres, instead, the mix is one that conjures up an unsettling feeling (which is by no means a bad thing). A range of emotions are explored, the track is dark at the verse, and this gloomy feeling is always present under the surface of the track, however, things feel uplifted at the chorus, with an emotive, chirpy lead guitar accompanied by glistening and shooting synths. The track feels atmospheric, with layered instrumentation and haunting vocals, and towards the end the dominant synths feel like they are blasting you off into space, and there’s that lead guitar line again.
