If you’re looking for something different to add to your playlists this week, look no further, as our TOTD will certainly satisfy. Sydney based quartet Body Type fit somewhere between dream pop and jangly indie but do not fit exclusively into either or any genre at all. Their track ‘Dry Grass’, taken from their EP Body Type is a strikingly unique track, with a twinkling guitar hook. Each instrument contrasts with each other, wild drum beats and thumping basslines battle with the jangly guitars and moody vocal. The lyrics are nostalgic, and the track itself has its fair share of moody sections and equal measures of cheery pop interludes. With the off kilter rhythms and songwriting being the star of the show on this track, this is weird guitar pop perfection for rainy days.
