My hometown of Canterbury has always been known for its incredible music scene, which kicked off way back in the 60s with a legendary psychedelia scene. That was nearly 60 years ago, and obviously so much has changed since then, but one thing has stayed the same; the music coming out of the cathedral city is as epic as it is today than it was back then. That’s why my choice for TOTD comes from Canterbury band Broken Hands.

Broken Hands have been pretty silent up until very recently when they released two new songs – which includes the massive ‘Friends House’.

The track is dark and brooding alternative rock, with an explosive chorus. Broken Hands amp up the moody atmosphere with piano beats that linger in the background, making this single ever so fitting what with Halloween creeping round the corner.
