My morning commute can be summed up in one word. Hot. The single stop that I get on the Northern line is what I have to psych myself up for every AM, attempting to position myself as close as possible to where I think the doors to the end of the carriage will open in to secure myself right in front of the window. I never manage to get that spot. Somebody always beats me to it, leaving me standing stagnant and without the breeze to cool me down. Today’s track of the day channels this feeling of anxiously mulling over something, even though you’re aware you can’t influence the outcome. Boy Azooga’s Waitin’ starts out with crisp 808 inspired drums and dreamy guitar lines to take your worries away, as if it’s a reminder that everybody feels as if they’re just begging for something meaningful to happen.
