NEWS: FIZZY BLOOD RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘PINK MAGIC’
Leeds’ Fizzy Blood reveal their new video to accompany their colossal single Pink Magic, persistently attempting to keep straight faces whilst being pelted by a wild variety of random pink objects.
“Since releasing the song, we’ve been really grateful for the feedback and support from our existing fans, and new people who discovered us after hearing it on the radio (cheers BBC!).” says guitarist Paul Howells
“Lots of people have been sending in messages with their thoughts on the song, and they are a joy to read. We hope everyone enjoys the video and has as much fun watching it as we did making it. Oh, and for those about to tune in, to pre-empt your question – it was strawberry milkshake, yes it was very cold, and yes those pink projectiles hurt!”
Pink Magic is supported by the PRSF Momentum Fund. Pink Magic has received frequent airtime onBBC Radio 1, after being added to the station’s ‘Track Of The Week’ playlist. Alongside previous single, CFO, Pink Magic will feature on forthcoming EP, Pink Magic, which the band have announced will come later this year on Killing Moon & Alya Records.
“As a kid, when I first started writing songs one of my dreams was to hear them on the radio. We’re very excited and grateful that Pink Magic has been added to the official BBC Radio 1 playlist and has been made BBC Introducing’s track of the week. The support from BBC Introducing, Christian Carlisle and all the DJs across the BBC has helped put us in this position. It feels like a big milestone for the band and I’m proud that this is the song to achieve that”

Live is home for Fizzy Blood. Drummer Jake Greenway and bassist Ciaran Scanlon are a powerhouse, even down to their facial expressions, effortlessly switching from a full throttled, ear shattering sonic backbone to an infectious, groove-ridden pulse. Vocalist Benji Inkley oozes charm with his Josh Homme – inspired croons, and his counterparts Tim Malkin (keys & guitars) and Paul Howells (guitars) showcase incredible attention to detail in their blistering musicianship. This is just a glimpse into the many reasons why Fizzy Blood have catapulted to the forefront of British DIY rock. Recent live highlights include tours alongside While She Sleeps , Dinosaur Pile-Up, Arcane Roots, Spring King, alongside last year’s The Great Escape, Download, 2000 Trees and Reading & Leeds festivals.
Four months into 2018 and the band are showing no sign of slowing down, touring with Spring King before embarking on their first UK headline run – including a sold out hometown show in Leeds. Now gearing up for slots at Y Not, Boardmasters, Bestival and headline shows in London and Leeds, Fizzy Blood are an unstoppable force on the UK live circuit.
