Temper The Wolves

Temper The Wolves
“Cold Hands”

London noiseniks Temper The Wolves‘ website blurb asks the question, “What happens when Joy Division meets Johnny Cash and then collides with The National and Elbow?”. Presumably, some serious shit will occur if that event were ever to take place, but for now we’ll have to make do with TTW’s epic stadium rock anthems, which more than surpass our musical expectations. These boys sprang onto the scene towards the end of last year with some sporadic show dates, including XOYO (or possibly CAMP) and Islington Academy, and sure enough they are now doing nothing short of a full blown London tour, with dates running from now through April all up on their interwebspacebookpage. We were very chipper indeed to discover today they have made the longlist for the Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition. Another interesting fact about the band is that they boast former Jamie Ley bassist Matt Kern, who, we are pleased to report, has not lost any of his general sexiness during the transitional period.
